Yesterday was a bad day for the fine 2000 Jimmy (142k miles). It started with the above codes, then I noticed a transmission leak in the front (4" puddle after a 40 minute 50-60mph drive).

P0442 GMC EVAP System Small Leak (0.040") Detected
P0147 GMC HO2S-13 (Bank 1 Sensor 3) Heater Circuit

Amateur hour comment: It wouldn't seem the codes + leak are related but they may be. I did read somewhere that the leak could be as simple as an O ring at the radiator.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

P0422 could be caused by a bad gas cap thats not holding a good seal anymore and P0147 is the O2 sensor after the Catalytic converter not heating up to temp from a bad wire harness or a bad O2 sensor.

Check and keep us posted.

Curious did you fix the 442 issue?

If so what was the cure for it?
My 09 Sierra kicking the same code,
every time I reset it.... And no the gas cap didn't work for me 👿
Think I am just gonna replace the sensor and see what happens.....

Thanks in advance as I know this last post is a couple years old now.

I'm glad you got some good advice! I hope that your car gets fixed soon.
