I have a 2006 Sierra with an Allison transmission. I noticed transmission fluid leaking from the connections between the transmission on the cooling device. It appears to be leaking from all four connections between the metal and rubber hoses. Could this be due to overfilling or do the hoses and fittings need to be replaced? Thanks!

The compression fitting has gone bad, you can replace the whole line or you can cut off the compression ring fitting and replace it with a new compression clamp.

In most cases the replacement hose with the new compression fitting will fail again and the best repair is to just replace the fitting with a new compression clamp.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

well i would have to disagree with molson. don't use compression fitting.

just cut and double flair the lines with 5/16 nuts on the lines and use unions to attach. Can get at any parts store. The diffents between the two is compressions can come apart while driving and a double flair never fails.
