I have a 2002 GMC Sonoma, 2WD, regular cab w/ short bed and the 4.3L V6. Everything is completley stock on this truck. I've heard I could clear 31x10.50 tires with a 3" body lift; is this true? Could I get by without rubbing wheel-wells with raising the shackles in the rear and cranking the T-bars in the front? Thanks.

Sorry for the bad news, but your 2WD has no T-bars in the front. Your Sonoma has conventional A arms with springs and a lower control arms.

Lifting the truck with 2" riser coils and a 2" shackles in back, 30x9.5s. on stock or equal backspaced wheels you will probably need at least 1" wheel spacers and minimal front fender trimming

I think you should do either coils with add a leaf or spindles with shackles because coils and Add A Leaf stiffen the ride and spindles and shackles maintain stock springs... this way you will be keeping your spring rates relatively equal. if you go coils and shackles you will have a really stiff front end but loose stock rear end.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)
