I'm considering purchasing a 2020 Canyon Crew Cab Denali. Previously owned full size Sierra double cab. The bottom of the rear seat on the Sierra flipped up to reveal the floor so my 70 pound goldendoodle simply jumped in. Salesman says that's not possible with the Canyon. What solutions have you large dog owners come up with to easily load and unload your dog?

I had the 2016 GMC Canyon for about 8 months. The seat backs folds down.
Not enough room. Stick with the full size. I went with the V6 Ram 1500. Loads of room with flip UP rear seats. Good MPG. Great truck compared to the smaller GMC.

We have 2 English Bulldogs and an extending aluminum ramp from Chewy (Pet Safe telescoping alum ramp, 16”x72”). Works great and when not extended fits vertically between the front seat and rear seat. Make sure you have a seat cover and harness with seat belt connector. 2019 Canyon Denali.

I just bought a 2022 Canyon crew cab Denali. Kind of stepping down from a Ram 2500 quad cab. Whiskey, a 80 lb. Chesapeake Bay Retriever definitely lost some real estate. We use the extending ramp that we had for the Ram but do not extend it. One end on the ground and the other end on the running board and she loads up just fine. Duluth sells a “hammock“ called Scotty’s mud room that works well for security in case you have to brake “enthusiastically“.

When I said “stepping down”, I meant in size…. I definitely “stepped up” in comfort.
