Hey folks,
I have a 2000 sierra with a 5.3 Z71. A few days ago the drivers door lock started acting up and would intermittently not lock or not unlock when the vehicle was started up or shut down. Last night after I got home from work I realized that my drivers door will no longer lock at all, whether using the key fob or the interior unlock button. The slide lock and the key do not work either. No matter what I do it is not locking at all and that isn't good when you have to leave the car in a parking lot at work. The fuse looks fine and this is the first time I have ever had problems with my locks. Thanks for any help you may have.

try moving the wire harness where it enters the front of the door, try locking and unlocking the door at the same time, flexing of the harness over time can cause a wire or wires to break, my 2003 buick had the same issue with the power trunk release, I had to repair the wire harness where it went into the trunk cover. most of the wires had broke
