Lock works, unlock doesn't.

My '93 (no remotes from factory, just electric locks) recently started just dimming the lights when I hit the unlock button. It locks all the doors fine. I had a remote lock / start professionally installed since and the lights just dim on unlock there too.

Any ideas for a common short point?
