Hello ,I recently purchased a used 2005 GMC Sierra K1500 pickup and while replacing the drivers side wheel bearing/hub assy. I noticed that there are (2) body mounts that are deteriorated and need replacing. I am having some difficulty in locating/identifying the parts in question. Near the bottom of the shock absorbers there is a frame mounted body mount that makes contact with the lower control arm when the vehicle is resting normally on the ground. There is one on each side of the truck. Both of these have cracks and pieces of the rubber have broken away etc. Can anyone help me to identify the parts in question. (By the way, they are clearly shown in the Haynes repair manual 1999-2006 Silverado/Sierra book on page 10-6 & 10-7 photos 2.9 & 4.4) Are these replaceable? I do not see any bolts that hold them in place and was told by a mechanic that you simply pry them out of their position to remove them ?
Thanks for any help.

Lawrence

Thanks for the info. Much Appreciated. I have done more research and discovered these things are also called "jounce bumpers, or bump stops".

update

By the way in case anyone is looking for these parts, the current GM part number is #15153958. They are available @ gmpartsdirect.com for $14.98 each. I paid over $50.00 at a local dealership for the pair.

follow up

Replaced both front "jounce bumpers". They simply pry out and press back in, there is no bolt holding them in place.
