looking to buy a sierra, please help

Hello, i'm looking to purchase a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 crew cab, 2wd with the Vortec 6000 V8 Engine.

My first quesiton how reliable is the vortec 6000 engine and what kind of mileage are you getting?

Second, how is the towing capacity

The 6.0L engine is a good engine and been around since 1999. Its not very easy on gas thought and 15 mpg would be about the best you might see in a C2500 but that would all depend on the rear axle ratio.

Towing should be very good but there are so many factors that affect that is hard to say and would depend on how the truck is equipped and what you plan to tow. If you are towing a very large or a very heavy trailer, say 10,000 lbs or over 30 ft the 6.0L may be too little and a diesel should be a consideration. When it comes to heavy towing nothing beats the horse power/torque of a diesel.
