Loud rattling, overheat

I have a 97 GMC Jimmy 4x4. At first the vehicle would make a slight squeaking/squealing noise when I press on the gas pedal coming from the right side of the vehicle. Now in the past 2 days it has become a loud rattling noise. It doesn't do it right away, only after I have been driving for a while. The car shuts off and struggles to start back up. The coolant was also boiling when I opened the hood, it was still full but there was some black debris floating in the tank. Checked my oil, it was okay. Does anyone know what is causing the noise and how I can get my car to stop overheating?

I'm not too sure about the squeaking and squealing noise, but the overheating sure sounds like a head gasket.
