I have been struggling with the removal of my lower control arms on a 1991 GMC C1500 to put in new bushings. The one bolt seems to be seized in the control arm bushing. Any ideas on how to remove this? I have tried oil and heating it, but it still won't budge.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

Greg

Try soaking it with a mixture of brake fluid and transmission fluid 50/50 mix. wait about an hour and then try a good sledge hammer or impact hammer. to get the bolt to come out. It's just 19 years of rust and dirt that made it's way between the bolt and bushings that is keeping it from sliding out.

Good luck and hope this helps, keep us posted.
