Lurching truck

I have an automatic 5cyl 2008 canyon and it recently started lurching when I’m coming to a quick stop. Then it sounds like it’s struggling to not stall on me. Kind of reminds me of when I was learning to drive stick and learning that balance of letting off the clutch and giving gas. But not quite as aggressive.
