max lift?

i just purchased a 2011 sierra ext cab, 4.8 4x4. nice upgrade over my 08 reg cab. anyways i had a sky jacker 2" level kit on my 08. i have seen some level kits that say 2.5", 3". i guess im wondering what is the highest amount you can lift the front end and still get it within factory specs for an alignment?

this is assuming that i lift the rear to keep it level, or slightly raked.
