I'm looking at the GMC 2022 Denali. I'm fully retired. I don't tow now. So when I buy the Ford or GMC truck I end up with a bed that I need to cover (thousands of dollars) and I rarely use that space. So, I'm thinking why not go to an SUV.

What I did use (often) in the Ford F-150 was this...lift up the back seats and I could STAND my road bike in the truck, back of the driver. Not lay it down but stand it up. Perfectly. Snug. No slinging back and forth with stops.
Question 1. Can I do that in the Denali SUV (either regular or XL)? Watching tons of YouTube videos I can't tell. I know who will know....owners of 2021 Denali SUVs!!!!!!

I also lifted up the back seats in the Ford truck and the dogs had a place to sit an lay down on the floorboard without destroying the seats with their claws (seats were up). I'm pretty sure this is easily possible in the SUV. Need confirmation.

What I will miss on the Ford is the door keypad (never had to carry keys). What I gain is heads up display and better safety such as the camera integrated rear view mirror. I'm not towing so the torque isn't a huge issue. Gas mileage is, but I think it's similar (?).

Thoughts?
