my 1995 GMC Sonoma's hood latch is broken and i need to get the hood open. HELP?!?

the hood latch is snaped off and theres no way to open the hood. its closed all the way and i tried taking to grill out. i cant find the way to open the hood. can someone tell me how to open it???

I just went outside to look at my 1995 gmc suburban(same hood).It doesn't look like you can do it from under the truck,but you should be able to use a flat bar to unlock the latch.If you broke the cable under the steering wheel,you can grab the wire with a pair of pliers.

If you can get to the big cone-shaped pin that goes down through the spring, see if you can get a wrench on the hex-shaped area and take the pin out. It's screwed into the hood.
