Hi, I have a 1998 GMC Sonoma and i cant get it to start. originally i thought it was the starter so I replaced that (we checked the starter and it works perfectly) I took the dash off and tried to start it (just for giggles) and it started up just fine. so i put the dash back together tried to start it again and nothing. for the way its behaving i think that it may be a wire issue and i wanted to check the wire that goes from the key switch to the starter but i cant find that wire in all the diagrams i have. does anyone know what color the wire is or maybe have a pic i could look at? Or even have an idea as to what may be wrong with my truck?
Thanks in advance :)
o mine wont even turn over :/ it just kinda clicks. im pretty sure its not the battery either. its a 4.3l v6 too btw

Common for the ignition switch it self to go bad and will need to be replaced. Before replacing the ignition switch, keep doing what you are doing to make sure it's not the wire harness it self that has gone bad or the connection to where it clips on to the ignition switch.

Keep us posted and good luck.
