My 2000 gmc sierra is running odd it doesnt always shut off...?

when i start it up it makes a sucking noise until i drive about a half mile or i let it idle for 5 or 10 minutes. I thought it was the fuel pressure regulator that i replaced last month but it still does it. If i try and turn it off when it is doing the sucking noise it wont shut off but will eventually stall. Anybody have an idea of what it can be?

open hood spray choke cleaner or anything round where sucking sounds you hear motor change sounds you know where leak is you know what to replace or repair
