I've just replaced the head gaskets on my 95 4.3 liter vortec, I replaced the head gaskets bolted the heads down and torqued bolts to specs, Then it had to sit for two weeks before I could finish up on putting it all back together. I marked dist and put it back in exactly the way it came out. When I tried to start it , It will turn over but it will not fire. I am getting spark to cap from coil and from cap to no 1 plug. pulled plenum and I am getting gas to spider assy. I have double and triple checked everything and I cannot see anything that I have missed.I have had someone tell me that I may have collapsed lifters and that I need to pull dist and use tool to pump oil pressure back up to pump up lifters, I dont know if this is the problem or not, Can anyone give me some ideas or answers to quide me in solving this problem. any info would be greatly appreciated thank you.

solved

I was able to find out that I had switched the plugs on the evap sensor and the plug that went to my injector control, this is actually easy to do because they will plug into each other. Any how changed them around and bam fired right up. So if anyone is having this same condition,Might check out those two plugs. Mine was an orange and blue wire on fuel injector plug, Should plug to same color plug on harness.Evap sensor had a black and white wire plug
