There was a recall by GM for certain year Sierra PUs (mine was included). The problem was that rust built up under the ABS sensors on the front wheels and caused the ABS to not read the pulses from the reluctors in the wheel hubs correctly. The repair consisted of GM replacing the ABS sensor on the wheel hub that failed. I'm not sure if this recall is still in effect since the GM restructuring. If it's not, you may be able to claim the parts and labor repairs as a casuality loss on your federal income tax... Ron
