03 Gmc sierra having abs problem. Light is on dont know the code.
When turning left light turns off. But when i make a right turn and the light is not on brakes will skip then light turns on and brakes work good again. It only happens when the light is off and making a right turn.

that could be a symptom of a bad front wheel bearing, or a problem with the wheel sensor wiring, since it only seems to happen when turning.

Sensor is good so was the wheel bearing they kept checking everything and couldn't find nothing wrong the light is still on

brakes

Just had my truck into the dealership for a second look at my brakes. I was getting a funny respionse in the pedal when backing up and also an occassional spongy pedal. All this after spending almost $500. having the brakes serviced in mid January!

The problem ended up being the ABS sensors and rust! Rust builds up around the sensor and pushes them up, changing the gap with the speed ring. In my case, it was not severe enough to cause the warning lioghts to come on, but did give me a funny brake feel. Mechanic said this is an industry wide problem.

Even if your sensors are "good", it maybe a rust problem.

bandaid

that is old news on the rust under the sensor. The brake shop should have know that. I would not go there anymore if i was you.
