Yes unfortunately I have always been an S10 Chevy Blazer man, started with a 92 and ended sadly with a 98... don't drive while on cell phones at night kids!

Either way I love my new 2000 Jimmy Diamond Edition, leather seats, nice stereo... just a few questions (I looked around did not see anything too similar).

1st. My cup holder is broken, on the passenger side, just the little flap that holds the drink in place... I am deciding what to do that won't seem too redneck and possibly just fail. Here are some pictures of what I am dealing with... I've purchased 2 different cup holders off the net that failed horribly, I was hoping I could salvage one by maybe cutting it in half and screwing it in... maybe I should just go to a junkyard I don't know.. any suggestions? You can see how I tried to squeeze the cheapy thing in, if it were smaller it'd work perfectly.

I tried to flip around this $3 piece of junk that's supposed to attach to the air vents to see if it could be possible to maybe screw/glue, or some how get in there, but then of course the cup holder would not close back into the hidden area...

2. I have the stock radio, for some reason the CD player kept spinning and skipping around when the car was parked, even off some times. It kill 2 batteries (we believe) so we took the CD tray/holder out and have been fine since. I purchased a GMC PAC Auxiliary adapter that you can connect to the CD player's serial cable, then flip a switch and enable Aux through an Aux out port via the red and yellow cables merging to one cable to plug into your iPod/MP3 player. I am wondering if it is worth the trouble to take the whole damn dash off to do this, if anyone has ever done so, will the stock radio security be an issue, and will it sound good with the Bose speakers? I am tempted to just toss my old Pioneer head unit in with an Aux port that I had from my old Blazer... it always worked great.

3. Lastly, sorry for the lengthy post. I am a GMC guy now, I always thought Chevy was the best but considering we put the same engine in from my 98 S10 what's the difference? I dig the red, and I enjoy the leather seats and seat warmers. I like a lot of features on this truck that my blazer did not have such as the sunroof, great stereo, and the fact it came with brand new tires and it amazingly clean. Does anyone think it'd be worth replacing the headlights with something more stylish as the stock ones I have are so incredibly foggy and make the truck look way past it's age... same for the taillights. I do not want anything ghetto, but would like something with a lot less red/orange and a lot more white/clear. I've checked a few sites and seen some decent prices... not sure where everyone goes... thanks again guys and god bless!
