Just bought a 1993 GMC Jimmy off by buddy. 4dr, 4x4, 118k mileage. Picked it up for 900. I am looking into getting some newer rims for it. I already know which ones I want. They are the 5 star rims that came on the newer 95 and up GMC sonoma's. I believe the rims I'm looking at getting are only 2WD?? I'd really like to mount these. Does anyone know if this will be compatible on a 93 4x4? The pic below are the rims I'm referring to. Thanks

Will not work, your going to need the ones from a 91 Camaro RS. http://images04.olx.com/ui/1/51/28/1774328_1.jpg

91-92 Camaro RS/Z28 Wheels Size : 16" x 8"
Backspacing Front : 4.75"
Backspacing Rear : 5.25"
Bolt pattern : 4.75"

You need to put the wheels stamped "REAR" in the front of your Jimmy and the one's stamped "FRONT" in the back of your jimmy to keep the wheels lined up. ;) Here are pic's of mt Jimmy with 16" IROC and the Blazer i got for my son with Corvette rims he just put on.

Since it's winter, we took the rims off the blazer and will start polishing them for next season. Also going to start on some of the body work, sorry no updated picture of the blazer yet but soon to come on his own http://www.cardomain.com/

I've seen some corvette rims for sale at good prices. The only thing that turned me away was the pricing for tires since they are wider. I'm going to look into the camaro rims. I have some EAGLE rims from the late 80's. Super fugly. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

The Vett wheels are 8.5" wide as to the IROC which is 8.0" wide. You can still run the less expensive tire size like the ones on the Xtreme balzer at 235/60R16. I'm running the 245/50/16 on my Jimmy. Not sure what's on the vett rims, the tires came with the rims for $150.00.

Here is a link for calculating tire size that should help you. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Find old OEM rims for dirt cheap now if you look hard enough. :D
