New thermostat will not open.

I bought my 1990 Sierra last winter did some repairs and in spring I replaced the thermostat. So far this winter I've been stranded three time because the thermostat will not open, it happened again this morning, it was -29 out so I went to warm her up came back about a half hr later and she was pouring out antifreeze. I'm not sure if its just froze or whats going on, its a brand new thermostat. Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes the thermostat can go bad as early as week, start with the simple and replace the thermostat. Since the thermostat is not that expensive and easy to replace, it should not take you more then 45 min to get the job done without rushing it.

I just bought a new premium 195 thermostat... putting it in soon I'll keep you all posted. hope it works!!

Put the new one in a few days ago seems to be running like a champ!
