Hello all,
My name is Bill and I've got a 2008 GMC Siserra 1500 SLE. By the looks of some of the threads I'm not as bad off as a few poor fellows, "blowing fuel pumps" yikes. Must say my truck has been great overall!
Anyway, I just installed an LED third tail light on the cab. The literature included did mention a possible alert from the gauge panel (computer) alerting me to blown bulb due to the incredibly low current they draw. Instead mine's telling me the air bags need servicing? Admittedly I haven't disconnected the battery yet to see if a reset would take care of the issue? Anyone out there that may have had a similar problem? Any clue would be much obliged!
Thanks in advance!

I think I figured it out. Measuring the resistance between the old and the new and then adding a resistor in series that equals the difference should do the trick. I'm consulting an EE friend of mine for verification but it makes sense because I have discovered the system measures current as a means to detect problems, ie:burnt out bulbs. Certainly anyone with further input would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Bill
