Welcome to the forum, not sure what engine size you have. But replace the cam in the engine and do the upgrade to the transmission. (Corvette servo, 0.500" boost valve) Dyno tune the engine, http://www.magnaflow.com/ makes a good cat back system for your Sierra and don't forget to upgrade your air intake to wake up the engine. Note: the biggest help will be the cam swap and the custom tunning of your ECM, also even if you upgrade your intake and exhaust. Tuning your ECM will make the biggest difference and should make you feel like your back in your GT.

As for your sound system, look at my other post response to using the stock radio and using the RCA adapters http://www.oemautosound.com/c-151-gmc-products.aspx and creating a bandpass box to save space and achieve the most Bass you can get from a small space like your Sierra. http://www.ajdesigner.com/speaker/index.php

Please keep use posted on your project and enjoy your new ride.:D

I got the 4.8 V8. Money is tight for me right now (broke college kid), but slowly but surely ill get to my goal. The first thing ill probably do is the system because all the speakers sound like sh**. Pretty sure whoever had the car before me constantly cranked up the tunes and blew them out

But I will most definitely keep the thread updated with the project as it moves along ! :D
