no ignition light

im new in this site so sorry 4 my english
i have jimmy 1997
im turnning the swith on and there is no light on the board (it is verey light or not at all)
the starter is working and it looks good
haw can i find the (-) of all the switch-the position and the color(the black one in the stirring wheel is verey thin)
