My fuel pump recently went bad and i replaced it. If i jump the pump ( lol ) it will start pumping, but for some reason there is no power going to 1 of the relays and im not sure what could cause it...alternator?

You'll prolly need a wiring schematic to look at in helping find problem. what year/motor? also check your reg.fuses.

your alternator has noting to do with your fuel pump. you need a wiring schematic for your fuel pump check the fuel pump relay check wires. If you jump the fuel pump and it works then your pump is good and need to start moving backwards from there untill you narrrow it down

so have you tried just 12v to pump and ran? if so, pump and ground circuit ok (I was thinking maybe a bad ground). Have you checked for 12v on gray wire at pump...making sure your test equip. has a good ground?heres a schematic from a 01 which should be the same...if you're sure of no power/good grounds(at left frame rail opposite pump/tank and the one at the end of rail for taillights) then trace back. could be a rotted wire at a splice in loom.

Start with the simple and check your fuse. Pay attention to your ECM fuse, the ECM is what provides the 12V to your fuel pump.

Keep us posted and be safe.
