Normally a Honda guy

The motor if you hit the button makes a bad grrrrrr sound and won't stop for like a 10 -20 seconds or won't stop at all. I took the wiper off and still does it. SO you think just lube shaft where the arm connects or should I open it up and take a look at it internally? I already have the rear plascitc panel and metal covering off the inside of the tailgate.

Lube the shaft and make sure there is no binding, the grrr noise is the motor cycling it's self back to the neutral position for it to turn it self off that way your wipers will not be left in the up position.

Note that if the wipers don't go back to the neutral and the motor keeps trying to go back to the neutral position. It's ether going to burn it self out or drain your batter since there is a constant drain on your battery when the Jimmy is shut down for the night or day.

Good luck and keep up the great work, keep us posted.

Okay will try that this weekend. The dash light issue must have been resolved by my buddy when he did the gasline cause they are working now...on my actuator it worked before I disconnected it all, so I tested the other day and now to pop..Only thing that was wrong with it before was the plastic tab broke, which you can buy on ebay..now whole thing seems to be dead.

Well I opened the motor up on the rear wiper and the issue is the plastic gear is stripped. The bolt that has theads that catches the gear slips over top of it...so will have to replace the motor. The rear hatch actuator is of and on about if its working so I am just going to get a whole one instead of the just broken plasitic clips. Shit I might keep the motor off and just fill in the whole...dont really need it anyway.

Can you provide instructions on how to get to that? Mine is doing the same thing but I'm not very good with auto repair work. (I fix PCs and video game consoles for a living, not cars!)

the triangular vaccum piece is likely to be your transfer case vacuum switch hose, if your jimmy is 4x4 if not then idk....

LoL thats what I do, but I picked up simple to novice car repair thru my years of tuning imports from when I started driving. I sure Molson 02536 has instructions on this post on one of the pages....Its pretty simple to figure out once you get the back panel off the tailgate.
