Anyone have experience with the NV246 transfer case specifically relating to the shifter shaft and the number of positions and direction of each?
This weekend I was able to get the shifter to rotate manually after dropping the rear driveshaft also... (See my previous post "1998 Suburban - Locked in 4LO").
I was expecting to find four positions on the shaft but only found three. One is definitely neutral... Selected what I thought was 2HI but when driving it sometimes it felt like 4HI. It is definitely no longer in 2LO.
Any advise would be appreciated. New to transfer cases but not wrenching...
