I just bought my son a 98 Sonoma and am starting to dive in the ins and out of it.
First thing I wanted to do was touch up some paint for him and came to my first head scratcher.
The title/vin say its a 98, the door tag says it was made in 10/98. But the paint color is not listed as a 98 color. It's indigo blue, which is not a color available in 98, the paint code in the glovebox says its indigo blue though. It was a 99 color, and with a 10/98 production month I'm assuming it may have been a late model run option? Or special order?
I just figured if they put it on the 98, it should show up in search engines as a color.
No biggie, but thought it was odd. What there much change in the 98 to 99 model runs that I might come across in other area?
Glad to be part of the forum, the first thing I do after signing a title is join the forums! Love the knowledge base! I am the chief Maintence officer in the house it seems and I can use all the insight I can get
