I have a few oil leaks on this particular truck.Wondering if you guys might give me a few suggestions.
First leak is coming from the oil filter housing where (I'm assuming oil cooling lines)were but are now plugged with bolts.I can't get a wrench on them to tighten.How hard is it to take off the oil filter housing and what is needed to put it back?Also,what is a good thread sealer to put on the bolts where the lines were?
Second leak is coming from the rear of the engine.When I bought the truck a few months ago,I was told the main rear seal was replaced recently but I'm getting oil in the tranny dust cover.This leak seems to be on the right rear of the engine but I don't see the valve cover,the head or the oil pan leaking.I have noticed that the starter has oil dripping from it but the top side of the starter and the solenoid are dry.Any suggestions or thoughts would much appreciated.
