Hey guys, as the title says I'm wondering about the oil pressure switch. This all started when my father in-law borrowed my truck and noted that the oil pressure gauge would fluctuate drematically with different engine rpm's. After consulting his mechanic about it he was told not to really worry about as his truck did the same thing. He also told him that the issue was most likely a bad oil pressure switch and to try changing it to see if that solved the issue.
So just last week I purchased a new replacement oil pressure switch and now i just need to install it. I was told this is a fairly easy job and that the switch is located on the top of the engine near the distributor. Is this the correct location and is it as easy to change as they say it is..? If so what it the correct removal and installation procedure for the switch..?
