I had a code recently come up P0128. maybe thermostat or several other things . But hear my story first before you give an answer there are several questions that I need to know if they all relate to each other.
1. The temp gauge on dash read slightly below 210
2. The fan is always going (is it ever supposed to stop while car is running?)
3 The top radiator hose is much hotter than the bottom hose after a 30 min trip
4. The A/C compressor is on even when the AC is not running it turns on every 20 seconds and runs for about 8-10 seconds. Also the accumulator is ice cold as if it were summertime with ac running in high. Is the clutch supposed to cycle like that with the heat on? I have the auto climate control not the manual settings. I also notice a high pitched chirp when the clutch engages. Is this a seperate issue?
5. I cleared the code and ran truck for about 30 mins and the code has not come back on.
I hope you guys can help, just cant afford it right now to bring to a shop. I have to figure it out and fix it myself. Thanks in advance to all who will contribute.
