i have a 96 jimmy with the push button 4x4 and have written previously asking for help cause the 4x4 wouldnt engage. i found that a vaccum was disconnected. i connected it ad pushed the 4x4 button. finally the 4x4 engaged and worked, but it wouldnt disengage and go back to 2wd. to get it to go back to 2wd, i had to disconnect the vaccum. why wont the 4x4 disengage? i checked all the vacuum hoses an they were all very brittle and flimsy. i am thinkin the suction caused th frail hose to squeeze together and remain shut, causing it to remain in 4x4 until the pressure was released by me disconnecting the hose. is this a possibility or what else could this be?
