Please help!

we have a 94 1500 suburban. It began leaking antifreeze ( quite a bit). We changed out the thermostat only to find out that it was leaking out of the intake manifold. Neither my husband or I are very mechanically inclined, but good enough to get by. We put some stop leak in the radiator just to get by until we have the time to tear into the manifold. Husband changed the plugs and oil at that time. The leak has stopped, but now the thing is chugging like crazy. Every time I accelerate it chugs. It idles really rough now. We double checked the firing order on the plugs and all is well.

Any suggestions would be great. I am somewhat desperate here as it's our only ride ( and I love it)
