Hey everyone quick question for you all.. I have a gmc 2500 6.0 liter and am looking into getting a plow for it. I want a V plow for sure but am stuck with my decision between the boss 9ft 2 Vplow aand the western 8ft 6 V plow. Can anyone help me out I'm curious if the boss will be too heavy (increasing wear and tear)? I work for a company doing commercial lots so the bigger the plow the better.. As long as it doesn't destroy my truck

I would not worry about the plow length but about how much it weighs. Boss plows are usually pretty heavy so I would check both dealers and look for the recommended plow for your truck. The 2500 series can take some weight but it will eventually take it's toll on the front end. I usually go with lighter is better for the truck but may not hold up for commercial usage. Check the dealers or search the web for mfg. spec's.

Lots of HD2500 trucks around here with the Boss Plows on them. I know a fella with a HD2500 and been researching which plow to buy all summer and he determined the Boss was the better plow.

I have no interest in this but this shows the features of the Boss

Fyi - Boss Plows are manufactured in Iron Mountain, Michigan by http://www.northernstarind.com/
I know this because I been by the place many times along US Hwy2 as I live about 100 miles away. The GM dealer is next door and I bought a few car/trucks from there.
