This past week it happened once on Monday morning and once one Wed morning, no other problems since. What happens is when I start up the truck for the first time and drive between 0-2 rpms (usually from stop to accelerating) once I get past 2 rpms the truck runs fine until I stop and start off again. This usually lasts until I get to my destination, but when I go to head back or to head out somewhere else the truck runs fine no misfires..... ideas???

There could be a good chance that your fuel pressure regulator has gone bad and is leaking fuel in to your upper intake platinum causing your misfire. The other thing also that can cause this is a dirty poppet nozzle (injector).

The poppet nozzle's are know for carbon to build causing the issues your having. Start with the simple and test to see if the fuel pressure regulator is leaking. This can be tested buy checking your fuel pressure at the shredder valve with the ignition key's turned to the on position "engine not running" than turning the ignition key's to the off position.

When the ignition is turned off, the fuel pressure should stay to 62-65 PSI for at least 5 min and slowly drop down by 5 psi in 10 min. If the fuel pressure drops fast, then you have a leak in your system and most likely be your fuel pressure regulator from what you have described to be your Jimmy's issue.

Good luck and here is a link to how to clean up your poppet nozzle the right way. Fuel injector cleaner my work, but not as effective as the right was and you may want to try giving the engine a sea foam treatment. ;)

Start with the simple and try the Seafoam treatment as described in the link to this perviouse post. You may also want to have your Jimmy scanned for DTC codes that would help indicate what issues your having. A faulty knock sensor can also give you the same issues you have described.

Auto Zone scan free of charge and will have the Seafom you need clean your engine's intake and fuel line system. ;)

Keep us posted and good luck.
