Greetings. I previously owned a 1995 5 speed Sonoma extended cab 4 cylinder. I jumped ship and bought a 1998 5.2 L Dodge Dakota SLT. Good truck, pretty much trouble free for the 14 years I owned it, but the new truck bug bit and the Sierra was looking really good. Last Saturday I bought a 2018 white Sierra 1500 4wd crew cab SLT. I"ve already added window visors, weathertech floormats front and rear and a 4 fold hard tonneau cover. Happy happy happy.
I am a few years from retiring and I wanted a solid reliable vehicle that could handle any foreseeable hauling/towing duties I might have. I love to ride motorcycles and the truck can also comfortably haul me, the wife, the grandkids (ages 6 and 11), our junk and a bike trailer.
I joined this forum to glean as much knowledge as I can about this wonderful truck and to meet a few new friends along the way.
