Programmer for 2011 gmc sierra

I wanted to put a programmer on my 2011 gmc sierra, but the truck is still under warranty until 100,000 miles. If I put a programmer on the truck, will this void the warranty? In other words, does the vehicle computer store the evidence of any tampering, so the next time I get it serviced GMC would be able to tell? Even if I return the computer back to its factory settings before I service the vehicle with GM?

No one will know it will be our little secret. If you program it back to stock there is no way of telling. But i don't think you can program the new computers more than once. This is what i was told by my friend at the dealer.
