I've been checking into getting projectors for my '07 Sierra Classic. I wanted to retrofit, but I possess neither the technical skills nor cash to get a proper retrofit done. Talked to a couple places that do it. You need clear lenses (stock are 'fluted' to scatter light) and several hundred dollars to buy proper HID projectors. It seems all the brands you can buy - Spyder, Anzo, Depo, etc. are all designed for halogen lights and have no cut-off shield to block the beam from blinding other drivers. I don't like the performance of halogen lights after having my last two cars with HIDs installed in the stock housings. I just know that now I have a truck that sits higher and I always got dazzled when a truck or SUV with HIDs installed with or without projectors came at me on two-lane roads. I guess now I just don't want to be 'that guy', you know?
So what I'm ultimately asking is this: did GM make any OEM projectors that ran HIDs on the old body style Denalis (Yukon or Sierra)? If so I've got a 5000k kit to buy from VVME.
Thanks.
