Should a completely rebuilt transmission and new torque converter be flushed after drove for a few miles, or flushed after break-in process? its a GM re-manufactured, supposedly all new parts from GM. Shop said they were having a hard time flushing out some grime after they had took it for a test drive. three year unlimited mile warranty.

Flushing the transmission fluid is the worst thing you could do to a new or old transmission. By flushing the system, particles could get lodge in your valve body, boost valve and sleeve, EPC valve, ect which can cause your transmission to fail from improper transmission line pressure. Just drop the oil pan and replace the filter after 20,000 miles and the transmission fluid with Castrol® Transynd™ automatic transmission. This should give you more life and performance then with the dextron III. NO worries about mixing the two different fluids, there compatible with one another.

Gawd no....there's no 'break-in' for transmissions like that. Yikes!
now if it's just a drain and fill with new fluid, well.....
