Hello everyone. Just wondering if anyone has installed the Range Technology Fuel Management Disabler on their truck. I'm seriously thinking about doing so due to the issues with carbon valve buildup and collapsing lifters on the L83 engines. This bypasses the 4 cylinder mode and keeps the truck in 8 cylinder mode all the time. It doesn't change the computer in any way according to the manufacturer.

I've got one and it has worked flawlessly. I presume (hope that it is addressing the carbon issue.

Thanks. I am wondering if it will address the carbon issue also. From my understanding, a catch can is the best option. I just don’t like the constant hesitation.I want a V8. That’s why I bought one.
