Our new Acadia 2024 Denali, when in reverse, has been sudden stopping that is an absolute jolt to driver and passengers. Turned off infotainment safety systems that control stopping/warning for objects in way. Nothing has been in way or purview when this happens. Very disconcerting since we felt that we hit something/someone for as fast as suv went into a sudden stop. Read on other forums that this is an issue experienced my other 2024 Acadia Denali owners. Took to my dealer today and they claim no one has ever complained about this issue before to that particular service department in small town I live in. After two hours they said they found "nothing wrong with car" but did "find" a bulletin from GMC that indicates there is such an issue - "too sensitive backup sensor" and that currently there is no fix for it. Disconnected the rear backup safety feature for now and assured us there was still a way the car would notify us something or someone was in our purview.................
