I have been looking for rocker panel covers for my 15 3500 HD. They don’t seem to exist. Is the 3500 crew cab different dimensions then a 1500 crew cab?

That's an good question, and it gets to the heart of a very common problem when you're trying to find aftermarket parts for a specific model. You're correct that the rocker panel covers for your 2015 GMC 3500 HD are not widely available, and there's a good reason for that.

The dimensions of the 3500 Crew Cab are different from a 1500 Crew Cab. A 1500 Crew Cab and a 3500 Crew Cab share a lot of the same body panels, but the rocker panels are one of the key differences. The 3500 HD has a wider frame and a different suspension setup to handle the heavier loads. This results in the rocker panels having a slightly different shape and profile, which is why a rocker panel cover for a 1500 will not fit your truck.

In addition to that, a lot of the aftermarket parts manufacturers focus on the more popular and higher-volume 1500 and 2500 models. The 3500 is a much more specialized truck, and there is less demand for these types of cosmetic parts. The market for rocker panel covers for a 3500 is very small, which is why you're having trouble finding them.

Your best bet for finding a rocker panel cover would be to look for a specialized aftermarket company that focuses on heavy-duty trucks. You can also try a place that does custom fabrication. You may have to have a set made specifically for your truck.

Makes sense. I thought it would be considered more commercial and less likely to get aftermarket items. Thank you.
