Run Engine without Tranny?

I Know I won't get far, but I need to check for Leaks.

I just installed a new rear main seal in my 1993 GMC K2500 6.2 Diesel. I didn't see anything wrong with it, but after all that work. Can I run the engine before I connect the tranny, if so what about the cooler lines and what else don't I know.

start it up ! no tranny means no tranny fluid to worry about in the lines.

Just make sure the motors setting like it would with the tranny in (level) Done this many times on dif makes and models.

If you removed any grounds then hook them back up frist
