I have a 1992 GMC Sonoma 4.3 liter, it does not start and has a brand new battery in it. So I went to take the starter off and I couldn't get the bolts off. I think they are rusted on, they will not budge. I tried using a bigger socket wrench then I tried using to impact wrench and I sprayed it with wd40 and it still will not budge. Please help, What do I do?

WD40 is not a very good penetrate. For minor stuff, maybe, but you need something like PB Blaster. Spray it several times and let it work. Take your time. Be careful here, you can use pry bar on your socket handle for more leverage, but don't try to muscle it off. If you snap the bolts off in the bellhousing, then you've got problems. Good luck.

You might try the old "Whack each bolt straight and hard with a large hammer" trick to physically shock them along with the "Waiting for the penetrant to work" addition.

Ive gotten one bolt off, but the other one is right by the frame and a socket or wrench wont fit in there. I have swivel socket that fits it i just cant get it. Any tips?
Thanks

That's a tough place to use a torch. Burning down your truck can ruin your whole day. And you're going to need an acetylene torch. Propane won't cut it. Its best if you can point the heat at the block where the bolt goes in. Sometimes heating it and hitting it with cold water will shock it loose. If you have time I like letting the penetrating oil work for a few days. Keep reapplying it and trying the bolt. Whacking the bolt with a hammer from time to time will help too.
