Security System 95 Jimmy

I have a 95 Jimmy, the person I bought it from had lost the original key, with the chip in it and had disabled the security system. I would like to get the sec system working again, but I do not have an original key. I believe all the components are still in the Jimmy. Where do I look for the sec system? Under dash??Will I have to get a new key set for it?? Thanks for any advise.

you should be able to do a "30 min learn" Put the key in turn to "run" wait ten min, turn key off then right back on do this 3 times and it could fix it

95 is too old for that you would have a chip in the side of the key. This should be a passlock 1 set up. more than likely someone put a resistor at the bottom of the sterring colum where the wire come threw.

Your kinda in luck, the 1995 to 1997 don't have a security system from factory. That's the lucky part, the unlucky part is that its going to be a aftermarket system and the installation would have been done by a installer and there is now way on knowing how he installed it.
