The electric cooling fans in my 2005 Sierra 1500 SLT 5.3L have stopped working. The A/C compressor engages with cold air until the coolant temp rises above 212 or so when stopping at a light. One time the temperature gauge was all the way to the right. I turn the A/C off and once going again, turn back on with the compressor engaging. I found the cooling fans relay/fuse block and replaced everything. There were three relays and 2 (40) fuses. When pulling the relay with 5 pins, there was a blackened (somewhat melted) spot on the block where the furthest left pin was inserted. I disconnected the battery and released the wire with connected to inspect the wire. The only part of the wire that seemed in question was the very end. I cleaned that up and put the wire back in it's place in the block. But, no fan activity.
I was wondering if anyone had a thought on what to try next?
