Hello everyone,
I have an issue with my 2003 Envoy that I need some help with. I took a trip over the weekend and noticed my truck downshifting a lot on the interstate, once I got into town it was noticeable from a red light that I didn't have normal power, especially when shifting into 2nd and third. The truck was fine when I set out about three hours earlier.
I've read a lot of posts about clogged Cat's but I don't think that's my problem because the truck runs and accelerates fine when cold but as soon as the temp gauge hits 210 the truck takes a noticeable drop in performance.
Through some past experience with an Astro van I had I suspect it's the coolant temperature sensor above the thermostat but I don't get any SES light.
My question, is there a way to test this sensor with an ohm meter? I hate to spend the 30 bucks and that not be the problem....
Anyone out there with the same issue?
Thanks in advanced.
