sonoma 2002 4x4 problem

hi i have a sonoma 2002 4x4.. my 4x4 doesn't go too good.. sometimes it goes on 4x4 low but doesn't go on HI.. last week nothing worked anymore and was jammed on LOW.. i checked the fuses and the ATC fuse was burnt so i changed it and changed the 4x4 module.. now when i push the hi or low button the little box under the dash that controls 4x4 goes like `` click click click click click click `` 6 times and then nothing happens and stays on 2 HI .. anyone would know what can be that problem..?

My guess would be the motor that actually engages the t-case. Could be froze up, causing your fuse to blow. I dont think its bad to get to, never had one off, but I'd look there. And if u can get it off see if everything is free and not corroded. Goodluck...keep us posted....i have a 2000 sonoma 4x4 and am expecting eventually I'll have the same prob....

i had this exact same problem. Its some sort of sensor or shit that engages the 4x4. I had to take it to my local shop for it to be fixed. i cant recall exactly what they said it was but it was a pricey fix
