1995 GMC Sonoma SLS Extended Cab 3.4L V6 Throttle Body Injected
Under the hood of my 1995 gmc Sonoma looks dated to say the least.
My truck had the old Round air filter that you see on most older vehicles.
You can find TBI CAI on ebay for about $150 but I decided to build this for cheap.
BEFORE:

I went to my Local Pick-N-Pull and found:
- a Carburetor hat
- Some tubing
- a Filter Box.
I then bought a cone air filter from Lordco.
It took me about an hour to get it finished. I had to remove the 2 rods my old filter box used and screwed in a single one. I needed to bend the single rod for it to work.
AFTER:

I also ran some pipe from behind my light opening on my bumper to where my new air filter box is now located to make sure it has cold air and not warm air from the engine bay. This is key if you want any performance increase from this mod.
I did not expect a huge increase in performance from this mod but... Throttle response and acceleration are much better!
This cost about $70 in total.
